Electrocoagulaci\u00f3n (EC) y Electrooxidaci\u00f3n (EO).                                            <\/h1>\r\n                                    \r\n                \r\n                                    <div class=\"mt-5 mb-9 leading-normal\">\r\n                        <p>La Electrocoagulaci\u00f3n es un proceso electroqu\u00edmico en el que a partir de compuestos procedentes de la disoluci\u00f3n de un \u00e1nodo (\u00e1nodo de sacrificio), se agrupa la materia coloidal existente en el agua residual, posibilitando su separaci\u00f3n, mediante t\u00e9cnicas convencionales.<\/p>\n<p>La Electrooxidaci\u00f3n es uno de los m\u00e1s importantes POAs (Procesos de Oxidaci\u00f3n Avanzada) que produce una oxidaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pida de compuestos org\u00e1nicos. La mayor innovaci\u00f3n radica en el hecho que el coagulante se genera in situ con una oxidaci\u00f3n electrol\u00edtica an\u00f3dica (hierro o aluminio), el cual es sacrificado y, por lo tanto no es necesario a\u00f1adir otras sales.<\/p>\n<p>El proceso de electrocoagulaci\u00f3n es muy similar a una coagulaci\u00f3n f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmica \u2013 la diferencia es que utiliza energ\u00eda el\u00e9ctrica. Ambos procesos tienen por objetivo desestabilizar los coloides contenidos en una cantidad de agua, pero difieren en el m\u00e9todo utilizado para a\u00f1adir este agente: en una coagulaci\u00f3n convencional, se a\u00f1ade com una sal, mientras que en la electrocoagulaci\u00f3n, se genera desde un metal. La electrocoagulaci\u00f3n puede ser definida como un proceso electroqu\u00edmico durante el cual la materia coloidal presente en una cantidad de agua residual es aglutinada utilizando compuestos resultantes de la disoluci\u00f3n de un \u00e1nodo de tal manera que permite que los coloides se separen del agua residual utilizando t\u00e9cnicas convencionales. Debido a su disoluci\u00f3n, los \u00e1nodos se van consumiendo durante el proceso de tratamiento, hasta que llega el momento que tienen que ser reemplazados. Estos procesos se dividen en dos grupos dependiendo del lugar donde se desarrollan los mecanismos predominantes que explican la oxidaci\u00f3n global: superficie de los electrodos (oxidaci\u00f3n an\u00f3dica) o, el resto\/cuerpo de la celda electroqu\u00edmica. En casi todos los casos, PROELEC EC mejora los tratamientos f\u00edsico-qu\u00edmicos convencionales, de tal manera que adem\u00e1s de flocular y coagular, PROELEC EC ejecuta tambi\u00e9n una oxidaci\u00f3n parcial de la contaminaci\u00f3n biodegradable y una oxidaci\u00f3n parcial de la contaminaci\u00f3n no biodegradable. De hecho, dependiendo de c\u00f3mo se proceda y dependiendo de la calidad del agua a tratar, podemos oxidar la DQO soluble en rendimientos de hasta el 95% o m\u00e1s. PROELEC EO es una soluci\u00f3n definitiva para la degradaci\u00f3n de compuestos org\u00e1nicos recalcitrantes como compuestos arom\u00e1ticos, clorados y fen\u00f3licos.
